MadArt General Conditions 2012

SOLO EXHIBITION ORGANIZED BY MADART

The rent for the space including promotion and wine reception is 450 euro for one room or 600 euro for two rooms for one week of exhibition.

The MadArt Gallery will not apply any commission on all artwork sold during the course of the exhibition.

The artist is solely responsible for transportation of the work to and from MadArt Gallery.

MadArt Gallery does not provide insurance cover, however every effort is made, as in the past to secure the safety of all pieces on exhibition.

MadArt Gallery takes no responsibility for any damage being done to artwork on random accidents.

Any damages to the facilities of the gallery made during the opening will be met by the person responsible for the damage.

If concerned about the safety of the work, the artist is advised to take out independent insurance to cover the works on exhibition.

The artist is responsible for the hanging of the work with assistance from Exhibition Co-ordinator. This usually takes place the day before the start of the exhibition. The hanging date will be confirmed with the artist one week before the start of the exhibition.

The artist is required to provide a list of the exhibited works – number of works, titles, medium, size and list of prices at least one week before the hanging of the exhibition.

The artist is responsible for the framing of works (only works on paper, prints, photos…).

The artist is responsible for taking down the work at the end of the exhibition with the assistance of Exhibition Co-ordinator.

MadArt Gallery is responsible for printing and hanging tags under paintings and printing price lists.

All works must be removed from the MadArt Gallery on last day of exhibition.

The MadArt Gallery uses internal contact data base (mailing and e-mail lists) which consists of local businesses, regular customers, business clients, press and galleries.

The artist should provide Exhibition Co-ordinator with their own personal mailing list two weeks before the start of the exhibition.

MadArt Gallery provide the design of invitations or promotion materials but does not cover the expenses of the print. The price of the print depends on quantity of promotion materials.

The artist must provide the following information for the invitation and Press Release two months before an opening:

•image of main work from the exhibition with title, size and medium. This should ideally be provided as a JPEG file, high resolution.

•statement about the work, ideas that inspired the work etc.

MadArt Gallery organizes the launch night for the exhibition from 6pm-8.30pm usually in the day the exhibition starts. The gallery provides 5 bottles of wine.

An exhibitor using electric equipment is required to use the services of a fully qualified electrician at all times.

Any additional costs will be met by the artist.

 

GROUP EXHIBITION ORGANIZED BY MADART

The MadArt Gallery will not apply any commission on all artwork sold during the course of the exhibition.

The artists are solely responsible for transportation of the work to and from The MadArt Gallery.

MadArt Gallery does not provide insurance cover, however every effort is made, as in the past to secure the safety of all pieces on exhibition.

All participants automatically accept above mentioned conditions. MadArt Gallery informs that a paid fee can be refunded if terms are not accepted by participant.
