MadArt Gallery organises at least one professional exhibition a month which will let bigger crowd to view the shop and improve sales.
It will be also constantly available worldwide at the online shop!

MadArt is an independent artspace located in central Dublin surrounded by the most popular hostels and hotels, established in 2008. Very convenient location (close to the LUAS and Connolly DART station) makes it an ideal place for any art event. More than 90 m2, divided into three rooms with high ceilings and victorian windows makes a perfect creative environment.

MadArt Gallery doesn’t take any commission on sold pieces.

Everything sold will be original artwork and hand-made by professionals. Revenues will go directly back to the maker – helping to keep this fantastic home-grown industry alive.

There is no submission fee.
A participating fee of 40 euro will be collected from chosen street artists.

Selected artists will be provided with space and cans/markers. Created piece made by 20 individuals and will remain on the walls of the gallery until the end of June.

The opening night will take a place on Friday the 8th of June 2012 at 6pm.

We are looking for wide range of graffiti styles from across Ireland to create the collaborative work on the topic: WALLS DON’T LIE
Competition winner will receive oportunity to exhibit solo show in 2013 at MadArt Gallery.

MadArt Gallery and Prism Photo Magazine are proud to invite all photography devotees to a night of “Instant Love” – an international group show dedicated to instant film photography phenomenon.

“Instant Love” is a collaborative effort of MadArt Gallery and Prism Photo Magazine in order to create an international photography show complemented by a special edition of Prism Magazine. The show features over 20 artists from all over the world (Ireland, Australia, USA, Italy, Poland, UK, Czech Rep., Germany) using various instant photography methods – from classic Polaroid 600 to Type-55 negatives. The show is also officially supported by The Impossible Project – the number one manufacturer of brand new instant film for Vintage Polaroid cameras.

The exhibition starts on the 12th of January (Thu) and will last for two weeks. Works will also be shown internationally in digital format in Prism magazine, along with few other names from all over the globe to be featured.

The show is organised by prism Magazine editor – Karol Liver.

Is This Happiness? is a collection of paintings inspired by contemporary life and the evolution of casual communication.

For example; the people we associate with and how they contribute to our own personal identity and growth, our superstitions, customs, and beliefs and how we rely on our experiences which are gained through our ability to interact and engage with one another. Also investigated in Is This Happiness is our desire for authenticity in life… Our desire for tastes, for routines and of course our attitudes.

Eliminating notions of texture and depth, and instead fabricating a style that’s minimal this work holds attention to detail paramount in its execution. Clear lines and sparse bold colours along with a clinical precision have been developed with a diagrammatic approach to each composition.

With these paintings the artist hopes to submit an investigation to the viewer, an introspective and critical look at an aspect of our many complex animalistic rituals, communications and social discourse.

The show will take place from 18th to 25th November 2011.

During her internship she:

• finished a set of beautiful illustrations,
• finished a mural in the front yard of the gallery,
• took part in Pink Pink Pink show,
• helped with promotion and organization of various exhibitions,
• not to mention design of the front sign for the door ;-)

Sure, it was a busy time for her but hopefully it will help her with a future artist career.

A-Z of Unusual Words is an exciting exhibition of 26 graphic works by design and illustration studio The Project Twins.

They use bold graphics and visual wit to interpret and represent a collection of strange,unusual and lost words. These images explore the meaning behind the words, which are sometimes even more strange or unusual.

This project explores the synthesis between form and content, and words and images with the aim of producing work that is both visually interesting and informative.

The Project Twins are James and Michael Fitzgerald, a design and illustration duo based in Cork City. They divide their time between client projects and personal work and are members of the Illustrators Guild of Ireland.

Their work is influenced by vintage poster art, modernism and graphic design from the mid 20th Century. Starting with a graphic idea they use basic shapes, combining earthy tones with vibrant colours to create work that is playful, witty and visually striking.

This exhibition is part of Design Week 2011 and Innovation Dublin.

The show will take a place from 3rd to 10th of November 2011.
